Project Mountaineer Transparency Portal Training

WV State Auditor JB McCuskey, along with Jefferson County Clerk Jacki Shadle and Jefferson County Commissioner Tricia Jackson, will host a Project Mountaineer, WVCheckbook, transparency portal training for the public on Thursday, October 27th from 6 - 8 pm in the Jefferson County Commission meeting room, Old Charles Town Library, 200 E Washington Street, Charles Town, WV.

Skylar Wotring, Director of Transparency and Oversight from the WV State Auditor’s Office, will present three main components of the transparency program which include:

  • Reporting and Transparency
  • Dashboards
  • Stories

The training will demonstrate how constituents can filter data and use the platform to find information that is department, funds, or expense specific to take a more comprehensive look into county finances.

In addition, stories are used to show trends in the data, departmental spending, project tracking, updates, pictures, or videos of items bought for the county with the spending data as context.
